READY FOR ACTION.
I've spent the last month or so in rehearsals for the fabulously funny Debbie Does Dallas with 5th Floor Theatre Company. Not only is 5th Floor one of the most organized, professional, loving companies I've ever worked for, but this cast is completely ridiculous. I can easily say that the other nine actors on stage with me are some of the funniest human beings I've ever, EVER worked with. Going through tech, we really had no idea how people would respond to this show. It's SO funny, and SO weird. I mean, it's packed with orgies, blowjobs, and candle dildos, so we figured it would either be a total flop, or people would love it. Well, we opened last night to a packed house, and after the response last night, I think it's safe to say people loved it! It was a blast finally having an audience to play with - audible gasps, "oh noooo"s, and lots and lots of laughing (thank GOODNESS).
I got to do a photo journal for Playbill.com - it was super fun! Check it out here!
We have two shows a night (7pm and 9:30pm) tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday night, and I already know my post-show depression is going to be BIG this time around. I love every person in this cast and crew SO much, and I don't want it to end! If you can make it to the show, you better! Here's the link for tix!
